I then used rattle cans from Bobcat. Your skid steer paint appears to be in good condition and I have touched up similar skid steers.

As far as price is concerned, a small skid steer Bobcat S70 with a heated cab, 48" blower and bucket costs ,500 = Isn't that about the same as a mid-sized JD with a FEL, heated cab, swivel seat, and rear Provonost?
I recently did something similar, bought an older skid steer to move dirt into my backyard that has a decent slope. It was a no-go, the skid steer had to come out in reverse, wouldn't make it up the hill forward, just started bouncing and trying to tip backwards. I sold the skid steer and rented a bx25 to get the job done.
The original "Bobcat" was founded by the Melroe brothers; hence, Melroe was the "owner" of the Bobcat skid steer. Clark bought the Melroe Company a while ago (1969), but was later itself bought by IR (Ingersoll-Rand) who now owns the company (simply named "Bobcat" -- the name of "Melroe" was dropped in 2000).
It's a heart thing. When you have your heart in your mouth breathing can sometimes be difficult. Most skid steers won't flip over backwards. It just feels like it's coming over. But the counterweight will stop it. The problem with loading skid steers frontways on trailers is you're using ramps. The tires are on the ramps.
