Got a line on a good deal on an ASV rc30 with about 200 hours on it. Never . ASV has a Perkins engine, turbo, 99.5 HP. The ASV is the only one I've operated, so I can't make a comparison. ASV if plenty strong, and fast. Easy daily maintenance. Cab space is tight, but not bad. Cramped, but comfortable. Cab is POORLY sealed and gets really dusty. The list price I was given was 85K.I feel too much for a skid steer, add a mulch head for 23K and it's 108K (basicly a Supertrac TL150). If I'm going to spend that much I'm going bigger with a custom mulcher, it's almost double the cost but should out work the skid steer 2-1 and hold up for the long run and in turn make more money.

This machine worked really well. The ground was a bit moist, and I fear a skid steer would have made a mess. This RC30 dug well, had little slippage, and worked well with damp ground. I rented it(two days) to get an idea what it would run like. It was smooth! I need to pull trigger on new tracks, machine has 1200 forrestry hours. They are going bald faster than me. The local ASV/Terex dealer is telling me the complete rebuild undercarriage is not available for my 2006 RC100. From another post: Terex/ASV does offer an undercarrige rebuild package. Ok well I bought my first CTL today.. it's a 2003 ASV RC-30, has a little over 500 hours and seems to be in decent shape - except for the right track. Almost all of the underside lugs have been chipped/broken off on the inside. I don't know what could have caused it, other than a rock or something getting wedged in somehow. Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy my first tractor. I'm looking at the Kubota 2920 (or 2630/3030 if good used one comes along) or an ASV RC30 tracked skid steer.
