They also have the heavy duty block tire tread for 5/each which is a really good deal (another discount shop has them for 5/each) but I don't think would work as good in dirt and sand. Senior Member. Might make the skid-steer ride a bit rough! I guess if you live somewhere that it never freezes water could be an option, at least you could get a feel for how it works then go with the anti-freeze! Calcium chloride is okay but it can rot out rims as it did on my Farmall BN if you have a leak in a tube. Aug 11, 2008. #8. I am operating the machine in tough rocky Texas Hill Country, but I think there must be a tougher tire out there better suited for the application I need. I have checked prices and see that they vary widely.
Feb 19, 2017. #15. The key to long life on the galaxy xd2010 is to keep your tire pressure down or else you'll wipe the center tread while the outer is still very deep. They r a mid grade tire. We run 30 up front, 35 rear in the 10's, and 40 front 45 rear in the 12's, unless the machine is constantly maxing out in ROC.Jun 30, 2004. #5. The skid steer tires work great on the front of a backhoe, however I wouldn't put a 10 ply in place of a 12 ply. The front of your backhoe carries a lot of weight on the front when your bucket is full. They make a good skid steer heavy duty 12 ply with a bead saver and that is what I use on my backhoe. Once we wore them all the way to the holes (if I remember right about 700-800 hours), we upgraded to Nu-Air, which we are still running. The Nu-Air are one class higher than the Bullman -- more rubber, more cushioning, improved lug pattern for better wear, really a great all purpose tire. We got the Nu-Air AT version, which is their premium all . I'm thinking the twisting action of the steering of a skid-steer would force the chains off the tires. Especially if you made a hard turn on dry pavement. Trick with skid steers is to keep moving forward with bucket down! Pushed a lot of snow with a 1845C at the quarry. Lucky it was mostly on fairly level ground.
The last skid I ran OTT's on was a 2000 863 I bought new. Traded her with 2.5k hours on the meter in 2007 for a new S250. All of those 2.5K hours weren't running OTT's but I would say 600-800 hours of the 2.5K were running OTT's, mostly in winter.

I've got a set of Loegering tracks on my bobcat, actually same set I've had on last two bobcats (12 years old maybe older) never had a single problem with them.
