If the coolant is red in colour, chances are that it's Cat ELC. You can buy it premixed at your Cat dealer and sometimes truck dealers and parts shops stock it also. If it's not red then someone has changed it and in that case I recommend draining, flushing and refilling the system with ELC. If it's green the original coolant has been replaced at some time with regular anti-freeze. My vote would be to drain all the coolant, flush the system completely with water, and refill with coolant meeting Cat EC-1 specification.
Are you sure of the type that is now in the machine? The colour might help figuring it out.
