I picked up a Lahman 40 skid steer, it needed some maintenance, so I'm going through everything. The last thing on the list is changing the hydraulic oil and filters. The bucket and loader work great but it doesn?t move forward or reverse. I called mustang and they said if the fluid is gold then use universal hydraulic fluid. If it is red use ATF. I called the local rental that rents bobcats and they told me they use 32 weight hydraulic. Power King Skid Loader Oil NT is a premium universal SAE 10W30 hydraulic and hydrostatic fluid containing approximately 2,700 PPM of zinc. This high zinc content provides exceptional anti-wear protection to pumps and motors at .
When the fluid drains back to the tank, it will drop from the fitting on the right side of the relay valves back into the loader body. Lahman used the hydro oil to keep the pumps cool and wheel bearing and chains lubed.

My question is about hydraulic fluid, does anyone have a preference as to what type I should get? I am sure the manual will point me to an obsolete type. Does anyone know roughly how much to buy?
