If you see metal chunks on it chances are there's an internal motor issue. You need to get a multimeter and Ohm out the wires going to the ECM connector from the speed sensor. This will tell you for sure if your problem is related to the wiring or if it is the sensor itself.• Used where zero speed or near-zero speed detection is required. • Steering, hydraulic motor
The software needs to be updated. Bobcat did away with the speed sensor. The update has the controller look at swash plate angle for travel speed. You can adjust tracking in the the dash. It is only short term, but you should be able to get it . Take it to a dealer. Bobcat has stopped using the wheel speed sensors. There is a software update that does away with them. That is consided the fix for speed sensor problems. You also have joystick codes which could be as simple as you having your hand on stick when you start it. Otherwise could be the stick itself.

Last week I got this error message, "2685-8 - Left Drive Motor Speed Sensor #1 Abnormal Frequency Pulse Width or Period" After doing some keyboard research is seems like this could just be a bad connection or faulty wire. Hoping my front left wheel speed sensor fixes my Anti Skid Service Required warning on my 05 XC90. Interesting I am not getting an ABS warning. Getting a clear reading on my diagnostic tool. CAT has good low speed control, and also a “creep” range that can be adjusted for max top creep speed. That being said I have yet to run a “fly-by-wire” machine that has anything remotely as good of control as the old direct control machines.
