The replacement chain on an 1840 does not have a masterlink, it is and endless . I've got an older model 1840 Case skid loader (1990 model). It does not have the plastic/fiberglass access covers on the top of the chain case. How is a guy supposed to remove and install the axle assemblies on this machine? I've managed to do one and it was a real PIA but I have to believe there's a trick to it that I'm missing.
